Artist Statment
My work is centered around the feeling of discomfort deeply rooted in my childhood. Whether enclosed in small spaces or being seen naked in public, my work shows the vulnerability that women face daily, especially in the light of social media. My work creates portals into these women's lives for the viewer to witness.
Using bright acrylics and mounted Yupo, I create a window into this world for the viewer to explore, achieved through smooth and varied brushstrokes. My work aims to create an environment for the viewer to make their own interpretation of the work. Either relating to it or just feeling uncomfortable with it. My goal is to create an impact.
